twinkle Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 1st one is, Airbag light is on all the time, and idea what this could be? looking at the wiring diagram looks like the control box maybe faulty. 2nd, my interior roof light stays on, when its set to go off when doors are shut. does it have a delay before it goes off?? and would it be the little push button switches gone wrong?? cheers Quote

You will need to buy a new one at around Quote

keith9534 Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 If it was me i would be very carefull touching any wiring connected to the airbag system!!!! On a Mondeo its recommended to disconnect the battery and leave the car fro 15 minutes minimum as there is enough residual current to set them off just be disconnecting the connectors under the seat. I have seen a video of a guy knocked out cold when one went off (he wasn`t sitting in the seat though!) Perhaps the VW system is different? Quote

NikpV Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 failure of clock spring (steering wheel) appears to be a common problem with air bag Quote
